La Bóveda
Novela de casos · Tijuana, hoyA novel in cases · Tijuana, now
No te olvides de mi nombre. Don't forget my name.
In Tijuana there is a five-peso crime weekly called La Bóveda. Each issue tells a case: a young woman whose photos left a phone and reached a group that had her name, her neighbourhood and her school. The magazine weeps, names the crime at the kitchen table, and at the end says where to go. That is the insert.
The novel is what the magazine leaves out: the group, verbatim, with its timestamps and attachments that are never opened; the collective's inbox where the testimonies arrive; her life, which nobody in the group knows; and a law with a name and an article number that has convicted no one in this state. No sex on the page. No cartel. A corrido at the end of every case, so it isn't forgotten.

Los 3 Velorios
Novela en tres volúmenes · Tijuana, 1938–2009A novel in three volumes · Tijuana, 1938–2009
A laundress prays at a three-day-old grave. Seventy years later, at another wake, a woman buys a steel rod and goes up into the hills with the women who search. Between them: a city, five wakes, and a wall of plaques that thickens every time.
Nobody in the book explains what is happening. The wakes accumulate, which is how wakes work.

El Tecolote
Novela · Nueva Vizcaya, 1653 y 1672A novel · Nueva Vizcaya, 1653 and 1672
—No hay cuerpo. Hay esto. —There is no body. There is this.
October 1672. A twenty-eight-year-old Jesuit reaches a mission in the sierra the morning after watching, from his camp, a man limp up the slope toward a shape waiting on the ridge. The town is in mourning. There is no body: there is a sandal, three feathers on the inside of a door, and the burial entry already written in a hand that is not a priest's. They ask him to sign it.
March 1653. A prisoner roped at the neck watches the hands of the man reading the sentence, and not the face of the man about to be hanged. They release him so he will tell what he saw. Two timelines, one mission, and a burial book where the count always comes out full.

Libro Uno · Stolen SkyBook One · Stolen Sky
Two brothers steal a ship and fall the length of a broken sky, looking for a place called Los Nopales. Both languages checked against each other before a word of it shipped.
Chapter two is not read, it is flown. The escape opens inside the book as a playable first-person scene — thread the wound, the black hole you only find by exploring, the steady world at the end of the rail — and when it ends it puts you back on the page you were on.

Five from Baja California and five from Veracruz, written to test the process: a sourced legend, the state's voice measured against a real corpus, and fright as an illness with its three acts. These are not the shelf's books — they are the proof the shelf can be filled.
